NIGHT SPLINTS
Dr Bryan Fallis and staff at Progressive Podiatry proudly offer the universal Night Splint. Over the past several years, the night splint has become a popular device to help cure the painful conditions of plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. The splint is professionally fitted in our office and instructions are supplied with the splint. There are specific instructions which much be adhered to so as to avoid nerve damage in the foot and ankle.
The splint applies a passive stretch to the plantar fascial ligament band and the Achilles tendon during the sleeping hours. This passive stretch will allow slow lengthening of theses anatomic structures over several weeks and help the patient avoid the dreaded "morning pain" associated with both plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis. This is when a patient takes their first step out of bed and is in moderate to severe pain due to a tight plantar fascial ligament or Achilles tendon. If you have either of these conditions, the night splint is a safe, easy, painless, cost efficient way to improve your condition. Contact our office today for the night splint, as most insurance carriers have parameters for patient coverages in there policies.Night splints can also be purchased on line if you do not have insurance coverage.
